I studied photography in college, and since then it has been a hobby of mine. I know all about photo composition, DSLR cameras, and postproduction. In order to make a good photo, you have to have a compelling subject, balance, and good lighting. The purpose of a photograph is to capture an emotion. You are trying to convey a message, tell a story, and seduce all in one instant. The best way to learn how to take a great photograph is to study the greats, which is what I have my tutees do.
