Hi! I'm Alex L., an MD/PhD student at Vanderbilt University currently in the graduate research phase of my training. As a first-generation college student, I understand how overwhelming the path to medical school can feel without the right guidance. I earned my bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, graduating summa cum laude, and spent three years at the National Institutes of Health conducting molecular neuroscience research before beginning my physician-scientist training.
