My original course of study in college was Music Education. When I became a mother, I had to pivot. Long hours of rehearsals and study were not conducive to raising a child. After much counseling, I settled on a major in English Literature with a minor in Psychology. I graduated Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University in December of 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
